Overview

Core Power Electrical Services needed a distinctive and versatile logo for their start-up. The brief was clear: they wanted a memorable, well-balanced design that could fit neatly within a square format.

Design approach

The logo features a custom-designed typeface constructed from squares with slightly rounded corners, giving it a modern and structured feel. A lightning bolt serves as both a standalone logo mark and an integrated element within the wordmark, appearing in the ‘C’ and along the stem of the ‘R’ in CORE.

Striking a balance between avoiding clichés and maintaining a strong, recognisable identity, the design is bold yet refined. A predominantly black-and-white colour palette ensures clarity and versatility, while a sparingly used electric yellow accent provides a dynamic pop when needed.
